petcock is simply-on or off switch! has NOTHING to do with fuel/air mixture.
fuel/air mixture controls rich/lean gas to engine!
air can be controled.
gas is controled by carb an is supplied by fuel bowl which is FILLED by gas from gas tank through peacock. if fuel bowl has to little gas, bike runs/stops-then runs again as fuel bowl slowly fills. this has NOTHING to do with a fouled plug!
it is air or carb!
stock muff helps controls rich/lean mix-after market leans it out[more air].
